About the initiative
Building a stronger
manufacturing future.
The Limpopo Tooling Initiative (LTI) was established in 2007 as an association incorporated under Section 21 by the National Tooling Initiative Programme (NTIP), in consultation with the Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET).
As the second programme of its kind launched nationally, LTI brings people, businesses, education, government and industry together to strengthen skills, suppliers and the provincial manufacturing value chain.

Multi-stakeholder leadership
LTI's executive structure brings together representatives from the tooling sector, academia, merSETA and social partners representing youth, women and people with disabilities. This collaborative structure supports effective skills development and competitive supplier-development programmes for a stronger provincial manufacturing economy.
